Not All Food Is Created Equal

I just read something the other day in the Washington Post that made me look at food differently. A long-term medical research study found that not all food is created equal when your trying to stay fit. It isn’t as simple as eating certain foods in moderation, some foods make you gain weight while and others help keep the pounds off!

Get this – for every additional daily serving of potatoes that people in the study ate, they gained an extra pound every four years. But people that added an extra serving of fruits and vegetables into their diet gained less weight.

And it wasn’t just fruits and veggies – nuts and yogurt also help kept the pounds off. I’ve always been a fan of fruits, veggies, nuts and yogurts, but I’m ready to call them a “FitFor50 super food!” What are you eating? Log in to your Playbook to check out some healthy recipes I recently shared, including healthier summer desserts, and Chicken Flatbread (I actually made a video of my cooking this)!

Keep eating those healthy foods!
